Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Station No. 17

Ruskin Fire Station No. 17 is a site adaptation of the Seffner-Mango Fire Station No. 18 plan. The 8,050 sq. ft., three-bay station includes living quarters for 10 shift personnel, including a separate EMS dormitory for three EMTs. The larger engine room with deeper bays and wider doors was modified to accommodate a boat and trailer. The traditional “Florida Cracker” architectural treatment was implemented to harmonize with the surrounding community.
