FleischmanGarciaMaslowski (FG+M) Architectures’ design was to create a world-class boutique-style facility featuring Tennis, Pickleball, Padel, a fitness gym, a restaurant, and more.
The 7,400 sq. ft. facility is named after Sarah Vande Berg, daughter of Todd Vande Berg, Zephyrhills Development Director. Sarah was a young tennis star who tragically died in a car crash in South Carolina in 2015 at the age of 21. Sarah’s passion for tennis and helping others inspired the center and the Sarah Vande Berg Tennis Foundation, which will give children a chance to play, regardless of their financial situation. The center offers many options for professional athletes, casual players, or anyone seeking a healthier lifestyle. The building includes a Pro Shop, Café, Community Room, Cryotherapy Room, Fitness Room, Salt Therapy Room, Yoga and Massage Studio, and Offices.
There are three buildings total: the Main Tennis Facility, the Restroom Building, and the Maintenance Shed. The site work includes 8 Tennis Clay Courts, 2 Tennis Hard Courts, 1 Tennis Exhibition Clay Court, 4 Pickle Ball Courts, and 4 Padel Courts. Two additional tennis courts and four indoor tennis courts are planned for expansion.
