Sarasota County Emergency Operations Center

FleischmanGarciaMaslowski (FG+M) Architecture, in collaboration with ADG, designed this two-story, 40,000 sq. ft. facility, which contains the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Public Safety Communications Center (PSCC), and Sarasota County Call Center.

In an emergency, the EOC would serve as the centralized command point within the community for municipal government representatives and supporting agencies. The facility was built to withstand Category 5 hurricane wind with duplicated utilities and communications networks.

The construction is by the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System.
