Spurlino Family YMCA

Southern Hillsborough County residents are thriving at this new two-story, 32,000 sq. ft. indoor facility, which includes a cycling studio, two group exercise rooms, a wellness center, and community rooms. FleischmanGarciaMaslowski (FG+M) Architecture utilized state-of-the-art methods and innovative techniques, making an energy-efficient facility successful. Families achieve a balance of spirit, mind, and body through the Y’s youth programs, family-friendly activities, and healthy-living initiatives.

In addition, a 30,000 sq. ft. outdoor aquatic center with an eight-lane lap pool, warm water therapy pool, and zero-depth entry family fun pool equipped with a slide and spray toys. This project, completed in collaboration with the Hillsborough Board of County Commissioners, includes five outdoor athletic fields, a covered basketball court, two playgrounds, and two picnic pavilions.

The Spurlino Y fulfills a great need in Southern Hillsborough County: strengthening the community through Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
